CY’s Kristan Huntley discusses Smallest User on WMC-TV
Cooper-Young’s Kristan Huntley was on WMC-TV yesterday to discuss the Smallest User program. She talked about the money she has saved on her MLGW bill since fixing a leak in her basement. If you have been reading this blog, you might have already read Kristan’s plea to get her Cooper-Young neighbors more interested in the competition.
This is big time stuff, people. OK, so maybe you aren’t too interested in conserving energy and saving our valuable resources and, ultimately, SAVING THE PLANET. Maybe that isn’t a priority for you, but look at it this way. We, Cooper-Young, as a community are competing against the Evergreen Historic District. Don’t let them win!
Turn off the lights. Let the sun warm your home. Reduce your time in the shower. Change out those incandescent bulbs with fluorescents. And when spring comes, open some windows instead of turning on the air conditioner. These are all very small things, but they will add up over a year’s time. The money and energy saved will not only outfit us with more money in the bank and a clearer conscience, but it will also allow us to say, “Yes. We beat Evergreen!”
Get motivated! Check out Kristan on WMC-TV:
