Kyran Pittman will be at Burke’s Book Store on Thursday, May 5th, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM to read from and sign copies of her new memoir, Planting Dandelions: Field Notes from a Semi-Domesticated Life. ($25.95 hardcover, Riverhead Books.) The reading will begin at 6 pm. This event coincides with the May Cooper Young First Thursday Night Out.

From a fresh new talent, celebrating the joys and trials of a new generation of parents, Planting Dandelions is an entertaining tribute to choosing the white-picket fence over all the other options available.

“Pittman’s voice is like that of a close girlfriend: warm, funny, conspiratorial, and up for talking about anything.”

–Publishers Weekly

Describing the book as “an apronful of stories carried breathlessly up to the fence by that strange woman in town, me.” Pittman represents her experience in all its drama, humor and depth.

Kyran Pittman lives in Little Rock, AR, with her husband and three young sons.

If there are any questions concerning this event, please contact Corey Mesler at 901-278-7484.
