Before the Great Troubling offers a quirky, wise, and memorable picture of life in our shadow-filled century.”

–Ann Fisher Wirth, author of Carta Marina

On Notes toward the Story and Other Stories: “A remarkably unique collection that both invokes and takes you away from everyday life–part Raymond Carver, part Gabriel Garcia Marquez.  Spare, rich, real, surprising, and absolutely wonderful.”

–Jennifer Paddock, author of A Secret Word, and Point Clear.

COREY MESLER has published in numerous journals and anthologies. He has published four novels, 2 books of short stories, numerous chapbooks and two full-length poetry collections. He has been nominated for a Pushcart numerous times, and two of his poems have been chosen for Garrison Keillor’s Writer’s Almanac. With his wife he owns Burke’s Book Store
