VOLUNTEER EXPO COMING FEBRUARY 23

MEMPHIS–Feb. 10—In the spirit of a volunteer fair, over 50 Mid-South nonprofit organizations will be available in one location for community members to learn about programs and volunteer opportunities throughout the area. Sponsored by Volunteer Mid-South and United Way of the Mid-South, the Volunteer Expo will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oak Court Mall.

The expo is free and open to everyone. Whether you’re interested in volunteer opportunities, becoming a board member, researching which nonprofit you want to donate to, or just interested in what your community has to offer, please come. Learn about organizations such as St. Jude, Memphis in May, Memphis Humane Society, American Red Cross, Pink Palace Family of Museums and Knowledge Quest. Find out how to help with animals or participate in a neighborhood cleanup. Children, teens, families, youth groups, community groups and church groups are encouraged to attend. No reservations are required.

For more information about the Volunteer Expo or if your nonprofit agency would like to participate, contact Sandra Palazolo at Volunteer Mid-South, 523-2425 ext. 212 or spalazolo@volunteermidsouth.org.
