NEW ART GALLERY/GIFT SHOP IN COOPER YOUNG – GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION

Allie Cat Arts, a funky eclectic art gallery and gift shop, is proud to announce its official grand opening celebration on Saturday, August 25th from 5-9 pm. View our unique collection of painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, pottery, glass, wood work, jewelry, handmade clothing and more! The event will feature live artist demonstrations and refreshments.

The opening exhibition will showcase a wide variety of fine art and gifts by over 25 local artists, including mixed media work by Lurlynn Franklin and Nick Canterucci; ceramics by Lea Holland, Robyn Gridley-Nickell, and Deirdre Daw; copper wire sculptures and jewelry by Susan Younger; illustrations by Michelle Duckworth; metal work by Virginia Nuckolls; furniture and wood work by Cheryl Hazelton; porcelain sculptures by Nikkila Carroll; paintings by Barry Joyce, Richard Harper, Debbie Crawford, Ted Domek, Shaun Barber, Jean Phillippe, Chrissy Bowers, and Katie Jones; jewelry by Funlola Coker; photography by Clyde Jones, Chris Kretzschmar, Kathryn Cantrell, and Lauren Spearman; stained glass and mosaics by David Babij; unique handmade clothing by Orli Weisser-Pike; printmaking by Michael Chewning; and fused glass sculptures, home décor, and jewelry by N.Phillippe.

Allie Cat Arts is the newest addition to the trendy, “historically hip” Cooper Young Neighborhood. The gallery exhibits emerging, mid-career, and professional artists primarily located within the greater Memphis area. Future plans include “featured artist” exhibits, demonstrations, special events, and affordable art instruction for both children and adults.
