FuelFilm:Memphis proudly announces the Second Annual FuelFilm:Expo, A Motion Picture Industry Conference & Tradeshow, September 28-30, 2012 at Southwest TN Community College’s Macon Campus. Featuring guest speakers, expert panels, and hands-on workshops, this unique 3-day event offers learning, entertainment, and networking for all levels and categories of motion picture talent. From the beginning actor to the dedicated camera operator to the professional filmmaker – there’s something for everyone!

The Expo kicks off Friday night with a comedic welcome by Host DENNIS PHILLIPPI. Further recognizing homegrown talent, the “Made in Memphis” Filmmakers Panel celebrates the achievements of local filmmakers who have garnered distribution for their feature films. Known nationally, beloved locally, WILLY BEARDEN, DAVID EVANS, and RYAN WATT share filmmaking stories from creation to distribution. Afterward, the Panel will judge the Screenwriters Pitch Contest – whose winner will be awarded a prize package of filmmaking goods and services worth $2500. FuelFilm will present a screening of the short films and music videos engendered by them since their 2009 launch. Emmy-nominated Stuntman IAN QUINN (Nashville, TN) closes the evening with a segment we like to call “On Fire For Film”. Without giving away the big finale, we can say most assuredly – Ian’s HOT for filmmaking!! And that’s only Day 1!!

Day 2 gets down to business – the business of making films. Whether you’re interested in acting, working behind the camera, or filmmaking as a whole, there is a programming track for you. An Industry Trade Show featuring Nikon cameras and equipment will run concurrently with the Expo. Additional vendors will also present products and services in support of the film industry. Film Screenings hosted by Indie Memphis are provided as part of admission.

A Gourmet Food Truck Rodeo brings culinary excitement to the Expo for the entire weekend. With local favorites such as Fuel, Central Bar-B-Que, and Top Knot Pizza in attendance, there’s guaranteed to be something to please every palate.
