CYBA elects new officers for 2013

Approximately 40 Cooper-Young business owners enjoyed refreshments at the annual election/membership kickoff meeting at Tsunami on Jan 16.

Kevin Kane, president of the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau, was the guest speaker. Kane talked about how unique the Cooper-Young area is and how he promotes the district not only in the Mid-South but in Europe, Japan, China and South America as well. Mary Schmitz and Kate Hackett with the bureau were on hand to talk about membership benefits available to CYBA members.

The newly elected officers of the 2013 CYBA board are: president, Dana McBride, Toad Hall Antiques; vice president, Stephen Crump, property owner; vice president, Charlie Ryan, property owner; secretary, David Milem, Milem Consulting Engineers; and treasurer, Ann Sullivan, Comm-Trans.

Board members for 2013 are: Steve Womack, State Farm Insurance; Katie Smythe, New Ballet Ensemble; Cameron Mann, Young Avenue Sound; Dr. Stephen Tower, Memphis Animal Clinic; Leah J. Roen Attorney-at-Law; Ryan Trimm, Sweet Grass; Jessica Puckett, Mid-Town Acupuncture and Natural Apothecary and Ben Smith, Tsunami.
