Cooper Young Businesses Band Together for 2013 Operation Feed Campaign

For the second year, the independent owners of the Cooper Young Historic District have joined together for a campaign to fight hunger across the Mid-South.  Every week more than 21,000 people rely on food from the Mid-South Food Bank for their next meal.  One-third are children.  Please drop off donations at one of the following collection locations during the week of July 8 through July 15, dine at a restaurant that will be donating a percentage of sales or patronize a business that is making a donation to this worthy cause.  Participating businesses are listed below:

  • Allie Cat Arts: Collection Location and Tip Jar
  • Beauty Shop Restaurant + Lounge: Donating 5% of sales on 07/09 and donation tip jar
  • Bluff City Coffee and Bakery
  • Celtic Crossing: Collection Station
  • Cooper Young Business Association: Collections during Red Hot Music at Gazebo 07/10
  • Cooper Young Community Association
  • Dog’s Rule Daycare + School: Collection Station
  • Haizlip Studio: Collection Station
  • Ink: Collection Station
  • Java Cabana: Collection Station
  • Kindred Spirit Style: Free Zippy bag for first 20 Collections
  • Langford Market: Donating 15% of sales on 07/10 from 5-8pm and Collection Station
  • Memphis Gay + Lesbian Community Center
  • Sew Memphis: Collection Station
  • State Farm Insurance: Collection Station
  • Sweet Grass + Next Door: Donating 5% of sales on 07/10
  • Toad Hall Antiques: Collection Station
  • Young Avenue Deli

Operation Feed began in 1991, and last year raised food and money to provide 1,000,000 healthy meals to more than 21,000 people in the Mid-South.
