The Memphis Repertory Orchestra’s season finale celebrates the blossoming rebirth into new life that is spring! Celebrating their one-year anniversary as Resident Orchestra at the beautiful Buckman Performing Arts Center, the MRO is thrilled to share the stage with the critically acclaimed soprano Mary Wilson. Ms. Wilson will join the orchestra for performances of Mozart’s “Come scoglio” and “Deh Vieni, non tardar,” “Morgen” by Strauss, and Bernstein’s “Glitter and Be Gay” from Candide. To close the evening’s celebration, the orchestra will perform Beethoven’s First Symphony – a piece fittingly composed at the dawn of a new century that changed the conception of the classical genre. Also on the program will be Barber’s “Adagio for Strings.” Admission is free to the public with donation kindly accepted. Visit our website at for more information.
