Summer Has Hit CY with Robbie and the Bandanas!

First Thursday Night Out in Cooper Young is when area independent business owners stay open late and dish it all up. Live music can be found at the Neighborhood Gazebo located at the corner of Cooper Street and Young Avenue and in other restaurant/retail venues up and down the street. Browse and enjoy refreshments at local antique and retail shops while you are here. Be sure to sign up for drawings and giveaways. Visit local artisans that are selling their wares on the sidewalk.  June 5th Night Out starts promptly at 5:00 pm and is sponsored by Central Automotive located at 2189 Central Avenue.

Robbie and the Bandanas will be taking us beachside with fun summer music covering such bands as Jimmy Buffet, Tom Petty, The Eagles and many more.  These rocking guys play all around Memphis as well as Pensacola, Florida! Grab a seat and a cool one and enjoy these great all-time favorite hits between 6 – 9 p.m. at the gazebo!

Samantha Crespo will be at Burke’s Book Store from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. to sign copies of 100 Things To Do In Memphis Before You Die. The Growler has special Night Out prices on all local beer pints from High Cotton, Memphis Made, Ghost River and Wiseacre.  Café Ole hosts Charvey McLemore on their patio complete with palm trees and margaritas from 7 – 11 p.m. The House of Mews is offering half-off approved cat adoptions and 20% off retail purchases for your pets.

Get a seat at Alchemy for their Happy Hour between 4 – 7 p.m. with special prices on select wines, specialty cocktails and domestic bottled beer.  Stop by Midtown Massage & Bodywork to receive massage coupons and a free gift!  Over at Sweet Grass, it is Throwback Thursday with a specially priced three-course dinner of family recipes that Ryan Trimm grew up on.  Phillip Ashley Chocolates located at 798 South Cooper has a Sample & Shop party going on! Get a child’s entrée free with the purchase of an adult entrée at Soul Fish Café and Young Avenue DeliAllie Cat Arts will be showing work by over 80 local artists.  Happy Hocker is having a Summer Inventory Sale with great deals on everything from jewelry to vintage dinnerware.

Beauty Shop and Bar DKDC are sporting special prices on small plates and cocktails on this evening.  Arthouse T-Shirts will be at the gazebo showing off some newly designed Cooper Young t-shirts for sale.  Bluff City Backsliders will be playing on the big covered patio at Celtic Crossing starting at 5:30 p.m. along with special Yazoo and Happy Hour prices on food and beverages this evening.  Mulan Bistro has specials on margaritas and other frozen drinks as well as specials for all CYCA members all night when you show your card.  Sign up for a week of free kickboxing classes at Memphis Fitness Kickboxing.  Be sure to stop by our new restaurants Tart Bakery located at 820 South Cooper and Strano located 948 South Cooper both are now open for business!
