At the gazebo for our First Thursday Night Out party is Kris Acklen. Kris is a songwriting powerhouse with a list of hits waiting to be discovered. Kris writes country, pop, folk, and R&B, often fusing these genres into songs that connect with the masses. Kris is very interactive with his fans and you can find him on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and at KrisAcklen.com. Hailing from Memphis, TN, this 27-year-old multi-instrumentalist has spent decades soaking in the rich culture and history his hometown to offer.

Performing live since 2009, Kris’ smooth-yet-powerful voice gives him the versatility to deliver for whatever genre he’s writing. Kris can sing to you in his sweet falsetto during pop song “Easy to Love” or belt out the pain of getting over addiction in his ballad, “12 Steps.” After releasing the more indie/pop side of his songwriting at the end of 2011 with The Trainsets EP, Kris released one featuring smoother R&B songs at the end of 2013 titled Fall’n.
