March meeting to feature alley plan, Cash statue

Please join us at the CYCA on Tuesday, March 10th, for a very important general meeting.

For the last few years, we have all been discussing a new vision for our alleys here in Cooper Young, and it is time to finally do something! Using information from a community survey in 2012, discussions on social media, and comments from residents at past meetings, we have finally developed a plan for our pilot alley between Oliver and Young. We will present this plan as well as requested information on how to close alleys where desired.  We especially hope to see residents from Oliver and Young come out and tell us what you think about the plan!

This month we will also be joined by resident Mike McCarthy as he shares information about a potential Johnny Cash statue at the corner of Cooper and Young. This will be an excellent opportunity to ask questions and share your opinions about a potentially huge change to our main intersection. For more information on this project before the meeting, you can check out McCarthy’s article in the February edition of the Lamplighter.

As always, the meeting will be held at our office in 2298 Young. We’ll get started with snacks at 6 p.m. and then begin presentations at 6:30. We hope to see you there!
