Cooper-Young Business Briefs: Memphis celebrates anniversary Nov. 7
Memphis Made Brewing (768 Cooper St., 901-207-5343) is marking its second birthday on Saturday, Nov. 7th by celebrating beer’s malty side.
Similar to the brewery’s recent “Hopped” party focused on the bitter side of beer, “Malted” will feature several big, malty beers, including Nut ReMix, Junt, Fireside, Drew’s Day Off, and other limited releases.
There will be live local music from Tony Manard, Caleb Sweazy and Devil Train throughout the day, and Gourmade and Sushi Jimmi food trucks will also be present. As a bonus, the brewery’s neighbors at New Ballet Ensemble and School will give a preview of “Nut ReMix,” their critically-acclaimed re-interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker,” which they perform each year at the Canon Center.
Finally, Memphis Made will be giving away 16 oz. Belgian-style “Malted” glasses to the first 50 customers. The party will be during normal Saturday taproom hours, 1-9 p.m. For more information visit memphismadebrewing.com or visit them on Facebook.
