After more than two years in business, Memphis Made Brewing Co. in Cooper-Young is mixing it up a bit: The brewery will start making more year-round beers while extending the hours at its taproom.
Located at 768 S. Cooper, Memphis Made Brewing is an independent neighborhood brewery, which distributes beer to more than 130 accounts throughout Shelby County.
Since its opening two years ago, Memphis Made has become known for changing up its beer line up every season but early on established its Lucid Kolsch as a perennial staple of the menu. Now the Lucid will be joined by the popular Fireside Amber and RockBone IPA, both of which will be brewed throughout the year. Memphis Made will continue to brew limited release and seasonal beers.
“Many of our customers kept asking for us to bring Fireside and RockBone back, so we decided these would be good beers to offer more regularly,” Andy Ashby, co-founder of Memphis Made, said. “We’ll continue to try new things with small batches of beer, whether it’s Sidekick or Sideport Series beer in the tap room or a limited run beer we release to the public.”
Fan also can now enjoy more of Memphis Made’s beer with the brewery announcing an extension of its Cooper-Young taproom hours.
Starting April 15, the taproom will be open Fridays 4-10:30 p.m., Saturdays 1-10:30 p.m., and Sundays 1-9 p.m.
“We were turning away a lot of people at the end of the night, so we decided to stay open a bit later,” Ashby said. “Cooper-Young draws people at all hours, so we wanted to make sure we were available to as many people as possible.”
The brewery will continue to give public tours at 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
