Suggested itinerary for the Cooper-Young Garden Walk

To fully experience everything offered that day, we present a rough, suggested itinerary:

8 a.m.: Come early and have coffee or breakfast at Stone Soup Cafe

8 a.m.-1 p.m.: Visit both neighborhood farmers’ markets (the Cooper-Young Community Farmers’ Market at First Congo church and the Tsunami Farmers Market (the north side lot of that restaurant).

8 a.m.-until: Day of walk tickets go on sale, $15 at the gazebo. This is also where ticket holders can pick up a map and brochure.

10 a.m.: Keynote speaker Carol Reese speaks at Jay Etkin Gallery..

10 a.m.-1 p.m. Dr. Chris Cooper hosts “Ask the Master Gardener” booth at gazebo.

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Ongoing “Ask the Master Gardener” and “Urban Forestry” booths at the gazebo.

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Visit “Me & Mrs. Jones” lawn demos on paint finish.

10 a.m.-lunch: Tour gardens on one side Cooper.

Lunch: Have lunch at one of Cooper-Young’s many eating establishments.

Lunch-4 p.m.: Visit gardens on other side of Cooper.

4 p.m.-until: Shop, drink, visit, and eat.
