On Halloween the Cooper-Young Community Association announced the winners of its annual Great Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Jonathon Rossum and Kellen Taylor at 2027 Nelson won first place for their grand arachnid-themed design. Cooper-Young artist Brit McDaniel was recently named a runner-up in the Home category of Garden & Gun Magazine’s annual “Made in the South Awards” for her pottery.
